First Anniversary Meeting

The first anniversary of the new Lodge was celebrated at the March meeting on Friday 15th March 2013. The majority of members of LOL 803 were in attendance, along with several Brothers from our Parent Lodge, The Somme Memorial LOL 842 of Bristol, the District Master and Deputy District Master from St Augustine LOL 904 of Plymouth and Brother Iain Adams, of Banner of the Cross LOL 1310 of Saintfield District in Northern Ireland.

The meeting was very memorable, the main highlights being the initiation into the Orange Institution of Mr Joe Stevenson and the presentation to Bro Ian McLelland of his Royal Arch Purple Degree certificate, as he had recently travelled this degree.

Also the Worshipful Master Bro Stuart Mullaney was presented with an Irish Blackthorn walking stick, given to him by the Lodge for his work and leadership throughout the last year.

Following the meeting, a period of harmony was held in the church hall with tea / coffee and a buffet supper laid on. A great end to a memorable first year in South Wales.
